I recommend getting your heart trampled on to anyone
I recommend walking around naked in your living room
Swallow it down (what a jagged little pill)
It feels so good (swimming in your stomach)
Wait until the dust settles

You live you learn
You love you learn
You cry you learn
You lose you learn
You bleed you learn
You scream you learn

I recommend biting off more then you can chew to anyone
I certainly do
I recommend sticking your foot in your mouth at any time
Feel free
Throw it down (the caution blocks you from the wind)
Hold it up (to the rays)
You wait and see when the smoke clears

You live you learn
You love you learn
You cry you learn
You lose you learn
You bleed you learn
You scream you learn

Wear it out (the way a three-year-old would do)
Melt it down (you're gonna have to eventually anyway)
The fire trucks are coming up around the bend

You live you learn
You love you learn
You cry you learn
You lose you learn
You bleed you learn
You scream you learn

You grieve you learn
You choke you learn
You laugh you learn
You choose you learn
You pray you learn
You ask you learn
You live you learn

wise words indeed. what really amazes me is that she wasn't yet 20 years old when she wrote all the lyrucs on that record.

all the ways you wish you could be,
that's me.
i look like you wanna look,
i fuck like you wanna fuck,
i am smart, capable,
and most importantly,
i am free in all the ways that you are not.

I thought I remembered her having some help. Maybe not. I'm old and my memory is getting spotty. Could be the Grey goose making me see spots...or the salmon tails.....

it's not outside the realm of possibility. but still it was her idea and mostly her words. i know when i was that age i wasn't that wise. i'm still not in fact

there is a proverb in the Bible that says: Wisdom does not necessarily come with age. It's walking and talking in my life right now, so.....

I'm just in love with the way she nails Regret, that jagged little pill. At least I think regret fits, I've heard so many other interpretations of what that pill is. Poetry ought to be open to more than one narrow interpretation, but it does matter what was in the writers mind for the poem.

i think regret is a good interpretation of the jagged little pill. it vould be other things, but regret encompasses most of them. i'm with you.

now if we could only figure out what meatloaf was talking about when he said i won't do THAT...

there are many interpretations of it too. i prefer to just enjoy the music and leave interpretations for the critics
